Several important rules that will help maintain health in the heat in water.

Where can you strive to go on a summer day if not to the nearest body of water? But no matter how hot the sun is and no matter how tempting the water is, you shouldn't forget about some things. Even in such relaxing environment.

When going to the beach dress properly

Anyway, the best choice for hot weather is loose-fitting clothes made of natural fabrics of light colours: they reflect the sun rays and, unlike synthetics, they let the air through.

And of course, take care of the head cover: hat, cap, baseball cap, bandana - there is a choice for every taste, and everyone needs to protect his/her head from the direct sun, regardless of the style of clothes you wear.

It will be also useful to grab another swimsuit or swimming trunks if you are going to swim and not just sunbathe.

Don't rush to dive

When you come to the beach choose a shady place or open the umbrella you have brought and take a rest for a while, at least 10-15 minutes.

And you should also enter the water gradually, enabling your body to get used to the coolness.

Keep within limits

Swimming too long is not the most useful activity as you can overcool your body. It is better to spend no more than a quarter of an hour in water, after which to take at least a half-hour break. And in general, it is better to increase the time spent on the beach gradually: on the first day of the season stay there for half an hour, on the next day a bit longer etc.

Be careful with tanning

Vitamin D that the sun gives us is essential. But staying in the active sun can do more harm than good, so try to stay in the shade more often, especially between 11 am and 4 pm and apply the sun-protection cream. Do not have any doubts you will get a beautiful tan anyway, it will just take a little more time.

By the way, it is precisely because of the sun that it is recommended to use a towel after swimming: water drops on our skin work like lenses.

Pay attention to your menu

After swimming many people have just a ravenous appetite but it is better to satisfy hunger with some light food - for example, salad, okroshka, a low-fat piece of cold meat or just vegetables, fruit (washed!). And it is better to leave the desired barbecue for an early dinner.

Follow your drinking discipline

And, of course, no alcohol on the beach! Fizzy drinks also need to be avoided as they will not quench your thirst. Drink lemonade, fruit drink, iced tea, bottled water. And it is desirable that all this is not icy: the chance of catching a cold increases when it is hot outside and cold inside.

Keep safety measures in mind

No matter how great you are in swimming, water doesn't forgive carelessness. Therefore:

do not swim beyond the buoys;

do not dive from piers, boats and natural high grounds;

do not use random objects as floating facilities if they are not intended for this;

Do not frighten other swimmers by sudden broaching next to them and certainly by grabbing their feet in water.

Swim only in permitted places! A body of water can have a polluted bottom and whirlpools. Stagnant water might be full of various malignant bacteria.
