“My former manager was preparing me in the future for the role of his successor. But it happened so that the vacancy of the manager became available in another, related department. There were several candidates for this position, I was one of them, and as a result they gave credence to me.

My responsibilities have changed completely: engineers have functions completely different from the manager's duties. Formally, I am ready for them but with the growth of the position comes the growth of responsibility. I learned from other leaders: I watched how and in what conditions they work, what decisions they make, and from all of this I gained much information on managing people, resources and powers. As an engineer I was responsible for equipment maintenance and shiftable flow of production; I had only a few people under my direct control. Now I organize the work of the entire subdivision being responsible for each employee, and there are more than 100 of them.

Now my goal is to formulate the features of our production as I see them and introduce changes to the structure of the department in order to improve its performance. There is a lot of work. I want to study all the nuances and subtleties. I think that this is the only way to achieve high performance".

“In fact, I was the head for the group for a long time, more than half a year. We were two specialists in the field of automation, and now we are three. The idea of hiring one more employee to our department has been in the air for a long time. This way we will be able to cover a wider range of tasks, perform more automation tasks without involving contractors and without a large investment component.

Other subdivisions of the company send us requests for innovations, the introduction of automation of one level or another and various workplaces. We must solve these issues with the help of contractors or on our own. Now requests are directed not to an employee but to the department and we react to them more responsibly.

Now I need to organize the work of the Group so that it achieves its goals: to respond to all requests and to implement the projects planned".

Previous position – technician of the same workshop

"My appointment was quite logical - as a technician, for the last few months I had already worked as a full-fledged engineer. Therefore, when I was transferred I did not feel the difference in my duties. The only thing is that I have more responsibility and more abilities to make decisions. I have more freedom now and this cannot but rejoice.

I'm comfortable with my new scope of duties but there is work to do. Not so long ago, quality has become one of my areas of responsibility, and I am going to act in this direction, that is to look and think what new things can be introduced into the daily work of the workshop. Therefore, the nearest plans are to try to make the future work easier for myself and my colleagues".

Alexander Krotov

From June 2021 - Head of the Internal Control Group, Quality Department.

Previous position – engineer of the Quality Department (audit laboratory of washing machines)

“The appointment to this position was a bit of a surprise for me. I think it has become possible thanks to my work experience in the quality department in different positions.

From June 2021 our department will have three directions.

Internal control group, which will include audit laboratories for washing machines and refrigerators, as well as control of auxiliary production facilities (plastics processing workshop, mechanical production and painting workshop, refrigerator preproduction workshop).

Development of the quality system.

Development of suppliers.

Until that time, the scope of my responsibilities included only that part of production that was associated with the production of washing machines. Now another side of refrigerators has been added and here I do not have so much experience, but with the help of colleagues from the refrigerator production workshop I won't have problems with learning more details in this area".

From June 2021 - Head of the Quality System Group, Quality Department.

Previous position - Quality Assurance Engineer in the same department

"My responsibilities are unlikely to change much. The main difference is increased responsibility not only for myself but also for my Group whose activities can be conditionally divided into three blocks of tasks.

The first and the most difficult one is the standardization of activities at all levels in order to ensure mutual understanding between developers, manufacturers and counterparties. Determination and establishment of optimal requirements for the quality of products at all stages of production, as well as providing methodological support to employees of the enterprise.

The second block is preparing the enterprise for external audits, organizing and conducting internal audits, which also include monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of corrective measures.

The third block is the analysis of customer satisfaction. We analyze all cases of complaints that come both from consumers of the local market and from other countries to which our equipment has been exported. This analysis is very important. It allows us to identify problems, to undertake the necessary improvements and to set new goals.

As for personal targets, I am going to improve my English in the nearest future".
