TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
Driving force of production
If a shop is the heart of the plant, then the technical development department can be called a brain. The variety of functions in this unit is incredibly wide. The department monitors the implementation of investment projects, ensures timely renewal of the equipment and early verification of suppliers, ensures commissioning of new buildings, supervises the adding of new products into the stock and purchase of raw materials and components. Here we analyze the current line and staff workload parameters and promptly make decisions aimed at ensuring that the work of all links in the production chain is as efficient as possible, based on the comparison with the plan indicators.
Georgy Berulava
Manager of the Production Engineering:

– When working with a team, the main factors are confidence in your employees and creating a favorable atmosphere in the team. I have always been guided by these principles and stick to them today. It is important to maintain a balance between advising and providing freedom of action, showing your trust and protecting the interests of the team at the same time while getting your priorities straight on the path you follow. Over 19 years of work at Beko, I realized that a good team spirit and socializing, in addition to discussing work tasks, are no less important for an effective result.

I am very lucky with my team. This is a cohesive team of industry professionals. They know how to take the upper hand and work under pressure.
Our department is engaged in serious and very responsible work. The technical development department is not just a cog in a huge machine called a plant, but a driving force where each employee plays an important role.
EQUIPMENT UPGRADE

Igor Zubarev,
Program leader – Process engineering:

– Our group is in charge of providing the shops with new equipment, as well as maintaining the entire existing production park. Each mechanism has its own warranty period and limitation, so it can only produce a certain number of parts. We know exactly when the equipment's life cycle is about to end, and we must promptly replace components with new ones before any critical failures occur. We monitor the wear and tear, identify the most attention-requiring elements, and draw up new terms of reference for the new mechanisms in the future.
Igor Valerievich came to work at the Beko plant in 2011 as the head of the Plastics Shop. In 2021, he was appointed as a supervisor of the group in the technical development department. He has a higher engineering education and extended technological education. His wide professional experience and expert knowledge allow him to solve the most complex problems.
A well-set task is half the battle. The same part can be produced differently, and our task is to choose the best option jointly with the R&D department, so that we do not have problems in the future. We need the design to be simple, technological and productive at the same time.
When we have planned release of new models, this also requires new lines of production. Jointly with the R&D department, we draw up the terms of reference. Then the technical procurement department takes up the baton and we choose the manufacturer. Meanwhile, our department contacts the contractor, provides them with the necessary technical documentation, ensures that orders are fulfilled in strict accordance with our standards. At the supplier's plant, we conduct a technical audit, find out whether the quality management system is certified, carry out test trials and preliminary acceptance of the mechanisms. Then, back at our plant, we check how the samples work with our capacities, and agree on further cooperation - purchase or serial production of equipment. That is, one, and a very significant, part of our work is carried out at the Beko plant, and the second - at the production sites of potential suppliers.

The production plan also depends directly on our work. If it increases, then our first task is to make a calculation and find out if the current equipment allows this plan to be fulfilled. If yes, we agree and approve, if no, then we look for and offer solutions to equip and bring the line to the required capacity, so that the set plans for the production of finished products are implemented on time and with the expected result.

I have been working at the Beko plant for 13 years. I see how production is growing, how much it is changing and improving.

The management does a lot, so that employees can work comfortably, make higher quality products, and be committed to their work. It is what matters most.
We carry out all technical new projects in constant cooperation with planning, R&D, quality. Any department that wants to improve something can contact us, and together we will find a solution on how to do the work better, faster, and ensure higher quality.
CONSTRUCT AND RENOVATE

Andrey Matveev,
Building Engineer:

– My responsibilities include a range of works on technical condition supervision, maintenance and renovation of industrial buildings and structures, as well as supervision of construction and repair and construction and installation works, which must be strictly compliant with the approved production drawings and design documentation. During my work at the plant, jointly with the services of our departments, we built and put into commission facilities such as a garage with a forklift repair area, a repair and welding shop, frame-tent warehouses. We also conducted major repairs of the enclosing structures of the walls of administrative and household buildings. In order for these works to be performed, we involved specialized construction organizations, selected on a competitive bidding basis. But I would like to mention that some of the repair work at the enterprise is carried out by its own qualified specialists. For this purpose, we recruited construction-oriented employees and purchased the necessary technological equipment and tools.
Andrey Yuryevich has been working at Beko since 2016. He is a specialist in civil and industrial construction with quite a wide experience. Many works related to the construction of new facilities, as well as repairs on the production areas of the enterprise, were carried out in his direct attendance.
"Beko" is a reliable company that gives confidence in the future. It allows everyone to unlock their professional potential. I like working here, I like the team and the work atmosphere that drives me to move forward.
INVESTMENT UTILIZATION CONTROL

Daria Smirnova,
Engineer:

– I am engaged in planning and monitoring the investment utilization. My duties include ensuring the utilization of annual investment budget: purchase of technological equipment and gadgetry according to the annual and long-term investment plan. The investment utilization process is very complex, and each stage requires strict control.

At stage one, we request information from our colleagues if they need any equipment and gadgetry to implement the production plan. Then, after the investment is agreed upon with the management, we place purchase orders. I control every stage – from the beginning of investment flow to the delivery of equipment to the plant and commissioning.

During my work, I closely interact with related departments – the supply department, logistics and the financial department.

It is worth mentioning that a successful result always depends on the common effort. We have a great team, and we can easily handle even the most complex tasks. I am very thankful to my colleagues and our supervisor for their help and support.
Diana has been working at the plant since 2013. Graduated from the Moscow State Technical University and in some while I worked at one of the Moscow plants as a design engineer. Then my family and I moved from Moscow to Kirzhach, my husband's small motherland. And in Beko, I found an interesting job and professional fulfillment.
The current geopolitical situation complicates the work with foreign companies. It is important to be quick and find solutions to problems with the help of a competent approach of the management, that is, there's never a dull moment. I like my job, I feel like I'm in the right place.
Daria Bulina,
Technician:

– This is my second year at the plant. Initially, I studied land management and cadastre, but then my interests changed and I chose another profession. My primary duty is to transfer the gadgetry for the manufacture of plastic and rubber parts to our suppliers. I prepare documentation for press molds, supervise the delivery, as well as the manufacturing process of the parts we need. I like the variety in my job: I have to face new challenges all the time. I love our team. I am glad to have been working with my colleagues.
TECHNOLOGIES IN PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

Lyudmila Sivalova,
Engineer:

– I obtained a higher education at State University of Education in "plastics and elastomers manufacturing technology".
My duties include balance accounting and preparation of production management plan at the launch of a new product. When changing the production rate, it is important to review the number of personnel on the assembly lines. This is why I update the account balance. The number of the staff required and the line workload affect the final cost of the product, so line balance accounting is very important.

My duties also include entering production indicators into SAP system (computer time, man-hours) when creating a new product and changing existing data. In the course of work we communicate with Turkish colleagues from related departments regarding production matters. I find it interesting to participate in new projects, as it brings knowledge and experience.
I love our big, friendly team.
Lyudmila came to work at the Beko plant back in 2013 as a foreman at the Plastics Shop. She worked at the service warehouse and refrigerator assembly line. Then she was transferred to the technical development department as a technician. Later on was transferred to the position of engineer. Now she works in the pre-production group.
Svetlana Korchagova,
Technician:

– I have been working in this position since 2023. Every day I learn something new and discover new things. I obtained a profession of a technician at the Kirzhach machine-building college. I started off with the refrigerator assembly line, then I was invited to work at the technical development department.

One of my duties include drawing up a line balance in the AVIX production process analysis program. This is a global program that provides new opportunities for the optimization of production processes and helps reduce the impact of human errors on the overall result.

The software allows to balance the production line and distribute the workload evenly between operators, making sure if the operator makes extra movements that can be minimized by arranging materials and tools for an easy use. For example, as part of the project, we began to equip work spaces with new mobile systems at the washing machine line.

I always enjoyed solving technical problems. At work, I feel the support of my colleagues and managers. The team is very friendly, which makes work comfortable and interesting.
