DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION
Women in the profession. Unlimited potential
Equal opportunities for all and the maximum fulfillment of each individuality is the fundamental principle of Beko, so a wide variety of people work at its enterprises and offices. And almost any work process is unthinkable without the involvement of women. The combination of their expertise and personal qualities contributes to efficiency and harmony in the working environment. Attention to detail, thoroughness, compliance with the standards, and teamwork skills are of great moment in production. Emotional intelligence, openness to discussions, and joint decision-making, patience and perseverance are key in management. And a truly invaluable quality – multitasking – helps to increase productivity even under high pressure and tight deadlines.

FASCINATED WITH POLYMERS

I am very lucky: I do what I love, I am surrounded by people who appreciate my personal and business qualities.

At Beko, I can fulfill my potential and live out all my ideas and dreams. When I was a third-year student of a chemical university specializing in the technology and processing of polymers, we were to choose a place for our summer on-the-job training. Even then, I knew about the Beko company and wanted to go to the plant. I was eager to take part in real business, in actual production. The workshop, the people, the production process itself – I was impressed by everything then. I wanted to come back here. I considered no other options – only the Beko plant. Therefore, my diploma project was based on the production processes of the plant, and after graduating from the university, I came here to the plastics processing workshop. I plan to keep growing professionally and pay attention to personal development. Technologies are changing, improving, and new approaches and materials are emerging. And I enjoy mastering it.
In the workshop, we can come to an understanding even in the conditions of tough plans or tight deadlines.
I DON'T THINK MY POSITION IS A MAN'S ONE

What I do primarily requires accuracy and thoroughness. At the plant, we all make up a single working mechanism. And flaws in a single process can affect the entire production chain, that's why they are unacceptable.

I feel comfortable in my workplace. If there are any misunderstandings, they can be solved very quickly thanks to our friendly team. In the workshop, we can come to an understanding even in the conditions of tough plans or tight deadlines.

I want to keep growing professionally. My family support my aspirations. Overall, I believe I manage to maintain a work-life balance.

I was lucky to work in a wonderful friendly team, and I would like to wish all my colleagues happiness and health in the coming year. May their most cherished dreams come true!

WORK-FAMILY BALANCE

The sales team has irregular working hours. Often, when you return home after work, you still stay in touch: you receive calls or letters concerning work issues, which you need to respond to quickly, give instructions, make decisions. And this does not cause any irritation, over the years of work, you have grown accustomed to doing better, more, with greater efficiency. Sometimes, for sure, work comes first, and you put aside your personal affairs and family life. I am lucky that my husband, who also works in the sales department in a managerial position, understands all our specifics and supports me in everything.

My whole family are focused on achieving the maximum result. A month ago, my daughter, a 9-grade student, received the title of Master of Sports of Russia in synchronous swimming. It was her long-term effort that led to an excellent result, revealed her dedication and focus on victory. It is very hard to combine schoolwork and long training sessions. I am very proud of my child. Though each in my family is very busy, we manage to find time for each other, and we appreciate it greatly.

I HAVE A CHARACTER OF A LEADER

It so happened that I have always worked in a male team, and my managers were also men. I can say that over the years I have developed a masculine character, which is inherently assertive, tough, and strict. But if you work as a manager, especially when it is essential to achieve a result, these qualities are always in demand.
Within our duties, we give the job our all, we are doing our utmost to achieve the result.
STABILITY IS KEY!

In the coming year, I would like to wish all my colleagues to view their work not only as a source of money, but also as pleasure. After all, if you come to your workplace in a bad mood, without any desire or motivation to work, the result will be a zero. And I also wish everybody stability, because difficulties are sure to harden you, but still you feel uncomfortable when you do not know what to expect tomorrow. And talking about personal life – I wish all good health and well-being for their family, because everything is interconnected: when all is well in your family, you are a success at work, since warm and safe relationships with your loved ones directly affect the ability to work proactively and efficiently. May there be balance in everything!
Margarita Sirotkina,
Senior Engineer-constructor, Product Development – REF

I came to the Beko plant in 2008, shortly after it started operating. I work in the product development group, in the refrigerator section. Before that, for 21 years I had been working in the design engineering department at the Avtosvet enterprise, so I have a vast experience. But still I had to learn a lot of new things, adapt to them, study the technology of refrigerator assembling, the design and performance of each model.

My scope of responsibilities is quite large. A design engineer analyzes the technical requirements for a new product or requirements for improving an existing one, develops detailed drawings and models using specialized NX software, tests the developed product for functionality and performance, makes improvements to the design; provides technical support for the production, modification and improvement of the assembly process.

I don't worry at all about the stereotypes that a design engineer is exclusively a man's profession. The development department head and the heads of other departments can see the result of my work. Quite often, they ask me for help when our equipment needs improving, modifying, and repairing.
I don't worry at all about the stereotypes that a design engineer is exclusively a man's profession.
I HAVE A MAN'S MINDSET
I am not afraid to disagree, to prove the correctness of my decision, but I always back it up with calculations and reasons. I carefully think over everything in advance, since a single error can lead to a stop in the assembly process, which is unacceptable. But sometimes I also have to resort to my womanly charm. As our first manager, the esteemed Abdurrahman Shaheen, said when he hired me, “It doesn't matter to me if you are a woman or a man, the most important thing is to have a specialist who does the work efficiently and on time”. I have remembered this for the rest of my life and I stick to it.

BEKO IS YOUR SECOND HOME
They often say, "Work is your second home". This is absolutely true for our plant. Here, you are treated not as a cog in a mechanism, but as a living person, with all your needs and problems. The management meets you halfway, if there is an emergency situation in your family, and the team will always support you. You understand that there are always like-minded, caring, open-hearted people around you. I always feel support of my boss, Alexey Svyatkin, and the R&D team. Having worked in the company for 16 years, I have gained a vast experience in many areas, now I want to share my knowledge with other designers, teach them not to be afraid of difficulties. The key thing, to my mind, is to love what you do. Success comes when you do what you like.
I would like to wish my team interesting projects and well-being for their family in the coming year.
Svetlana Melnikova,
Head of the Trade Marketing Department

Let's get acquainted: our trade marketing department is responsible for several key areas: trade equipment, POSM, co-promotion with partners, as well as organizing events and conferences for dealers. The end of the year is the time for summing up and singling out the key projects, here is the list of our team's brightest ones.

This year, we have designed the largest site in the company's history for the Hotpoint, Beko, and Indesit brands within the DNS chain in the Shop-in-Shop format. The development footprint is 220 square meters: on the one hand, there is "a new one-room apartment in Khamovniki", on the other hand, there are more than 10 studios in the economy class! Now our customers can feel all our company's power and technology in one space, where each brand has revealed its individuality.

This year we have reached a new level in relations with our MVM colleagues: we developed and implemented a new solution – vinyl magnets with a color palette for Grundig and Hotpoint refrigerators. Such a visual expansion of the range helped to increase the goods representation where it is physically impossible to display all the color options. It is just one sticker, but what a significant step in the relationship!

The St. Petersburg conference for dealers was another bright page of this year. The business part, as always, focused on new products. But if earlier people sought a chance to slip away from the gala dinner to a karaoke bar, this year we made karaoke part of the dinner. And no one ran away anywhere. This has led to closer contact with our guests and partners, which means that there will be more vinyl magnets and unique brand zones. My personal life this year has also been full of events: Santa Claus gave me a trip to Japan, my eldest daughter went to a new school, and I started learning to play squash.
I am very happy that I work in a reliable company and in a wonderful friendly team.
THE MAIN THING IS TO FULFILL THE TEAM'S POTENTIAL

Working at Beko gives me the opportunity not only to perform tasks, but also to reach beyond the usual, especially I am inspired by non-standard projects that require utmost concentration. For example, we launched initiatives with OZON and ARTDOM almost from scratch and in no time at all. Surely, such tasks sometimes require working at our limits, but it is in such situations that I feel how my own and the whole team's potentials are fulfilled.

MY FAMILY IS MY MAJOR SUPPORT

Life is not only a workplace where you can do so many interesting things. For me, life means, of course, family and children! I am happy to return home, where I am always welcome, and my children constantly surprise me with something new. I see myself as a working mother who is able to arrange her children's lives, take part in everything they do, and at the same time manage important projects in a large company.

I am very happy that I work in a reliable company and in a wonderful friendly team, where I manage to maintain work-life balance. I wish all of us not to rest on our laurels, to keep supporting each other for the sake of higher goals. May the coming year bring us new high results, which will be the result of our work, and, of course, good luck to all!
