Quiet, environmentally friendly and smart: new functions of Grundig washing machines
Consumers are waiting for the new functions of home household devices. Today, it is not enough for them that washing machines are cost effective and beautiful. It is desirable that they contribute to the environment protection, that recyclable materials are used in their production, and when used, the ecological footprint is reduced. The company responds to these requests and creates innovations in various fields. We describe new features in Grundig washing machines that have appeared recently or are planned to be introduced in the nearest future.

Panel-type body: unity of style
The first novelty is related to the appearance of Grundig washing machines.

There will be two appearance options in total – Prologue and Beyond.
Prologue is planned to be the first for the release. These washing machines will be released under the Grundig trademark and will be positioned in the price segment higher than the existing models.
The panel-type body is a new type of a body that is currently used at the factory in Romania, and they are also switching to it in Turkey.
The result of this innovation is that the washing machines of all factories will look the same and the consumers will perceive the entire range more organically.
The new body type will be initially used on the E400 and E450 models (400 and 450 mm deep) and later in the Slim version.
The washing machines will be produced with two variants of the control system – C7S and D7S.
We plan to start production of washing machines with a new body type in 2022.

Supreme Refresh: ideal freshness
Insight for the appearance of the Supreme Refresh function (maximum freshness) is also related to the topic of environmental friendliness. People often have to wash their clothes even if they are not dirty and there are no stains on them. It is all because of the smells that permeate the laundry. Extra washing cycles take a lot of time and wear out clothes.
And the clothes are wrinkled after washing and they have to be ironed for a long time. We needed a function that would eliminate the bad smell while making sure that there are fewer wrinkles on the clothes, and the ironing process is as easy and fast as possible.
The company has developed a special tank design that allows using a regular heating element of a washing machine to create steam. This steam rises from the bottom of the washing machine into the drum through a special hole and removes wrinkles and unpleasant odour from clothes. At the same time, the steam generator is not used.
Independent experts confirm that clothes really have fewer wrinkles left and odour goes away.

This is one of the oldest brands of the company belonging to the premium segment, so there is increased attention to it and quality control. The company has many factories outside of Turkey – in Africa, in Thailand, in Romania, in India. But it was Russia that became the first country to receive a permit for the production of household products under this brand. We were able to prove that we could provide the necessary level of quality for production.
Only one brand of the company, Beko, is represented in Russia. We need to enter the premium market of household appliances, which we plan to do with Grundig washing machines and refrigerators. Now we are preparing for production. We have ordered the technological fittings and the necessary equipment. The commissioning will take place next year".

ProDose: super-precise dosing
Consumers would like to dose the detergent as accurately as possible even without using dosing caps and performing calculations. The ProDose technology, which has already appeared in Grundig washing machines, meets this request.
Thanks to special MultiSense sensors, the ProDose system automatically detects the amount of laundry, the type of fabric and the degree of contamination.
Based on this information, the automatic dosing system precisely calculates the amount of liquid detergent and conditioner required for each cycle.
All you need to do is pour the detergent once and the next 20 washing cycles will guarantee perfect results.
As a result, the washing machine saves not only detergent and water but also precious time.

Despite the fact that consumption of electricity by household appliances is decreasing every year, people need new energy efficiency. The new environmentally friendly inverter motor reduces energy consumption to an absolute minimum - outranking the best energy efficiency rating A+++ by as much as 70%. This was achieved thanks to the brush-free design and the adjustable speed technology, which removes friction.
The innovative motor not only saves energy but also reduces the noise level to 45 decibels during the main wash.
We can remind that the World Health Organization (WHO) defines noise above 65 decibels as noise pollution. With the noise of about 45 decibels a person can not always fall asleep or is not in deep sleep. Also, unwanted loud sounds can reduce concentration, interfere with communication and rest and negatively affect the overall well-being.
When creating washing machines, we focus not only on reducing the noise level and ensuring that the products comply with all the new rules but also on improving the sound quality.
