On the eve of the 77th anniversary of the Victory over fascism, specialists of the Kirzhach Comprehensive Social Service Center, together with volunteers, visited the veterans of the Great Patriotic War to congratulate them and present gifts and goodies from the Beko company prior to the celebration.
Every year, the Kirzhach social center prepares for the celebration of the Victory Day on 9th of May, in advance: attracts volunteer children who draw greeting cards for veterans and read poems, prepares congratulations from the city and regional administrative bodies, and, of course, invites sponsors to take part in the event. This time, sweet gifts for veterans, participants of war events, children of the war and homefront workers were prepared by the Beko company.
Veterans accept such congratulations very reverently, sometimes even with tears and highly appreciate attention and care with which they are treated. The Social Service Center also tries not to live its wards without due care not only on Victory Day, but at any other time as well. Charitable events such as “Light in the Window”, “Day of the Elderly”, “Week of Kindness”, “Warmth in Every Home” are regularly organised here for veterans. Volunteers of the Center knit mittens and socks, which are then handed over to veterans, help them to clean up their homes. In autumn, volunteers and employees of the Social Service Center organized the events aimed to clean up the area around homes of the veterans and to help them to harvest and clean up their gardens.
If necessary, enterprises operating in Kirzhach also provide assistance to veterans.
“The Beko plant is one of our regular partners,” said Natalya Blinova, Head of the emergency social service department. – Now it is difficult for social centers to manage without charity, and we are very glad that we can always count on the Beko company support. Together with sponsors, we can do much more for our veterans, improve their living conditions and support them in some difficult situations.
