Olga Popova

Mechanic assembly Worker of the Refrigerator Assembly Shop,

has been working at Beko since 2017

When people ask me about my job - and I answer: "I am a metalworker", - I often see amazed eyes: how, a woman can be an metalworker? Really? By the way, it is just a position title, but in fact I operate the refrigerator production conveyor line.

Previously I worked as a seamstress at the factory. Then I tried myself as a seller but realized that it wasn't my thing at all. Therefore, I decided to try a chance and joined Beko - and for the moment I have been working here for about five years already.

At first it was difficult to learn the ropes, working with conveyor line, but our foreman Rimma Radzhabova was very helpful to me. She is a very nice person: any time is ready to help, to give advice. She was also perfect as the teacher: explained everything clearly and logically. And I got involved, engrossed in the process.

Refrigerator assembly line consists of three sections, I operate the second one, and my shift includes about 50 workers. We have the great team! If you can't handle something, they will always help. If you ask, you'll get an answer for sure. When everyone supports each other, result will also be good. Today I also help, suggest, and even teach sometimes. This is my contribution to the common cause, and I am happy to be useful.

Our site has a certain plan that we must fulfill, so all of us stand for each other. We try to assist if someone is not managing with his work in order to hit the target.

As for me, every person, is committed to career progress. And I am not an exception too. I am moving towards this slowly, step by step but surely. I am always interested in everything: learn something new from somebody from time to time.

The most important is to see the goal. My goal, for example, is to do my job efficiently and quickly. When you achieve this goal, working in the team, not letting the management down, you succeed.

When you come to the workshop for the first time and see all this - wide production areas, refrigerators moving along the conveyor, you stay really impressed and stare at the process with opened mouth. At first you get scared: what if I don’t succeed, if I fail?! But then you begin to understand how the refrigerator system works, and finally turn professional. Feeling like being a good professional is very pleasant!

Vera Kosareva

Foreman of the Refrigerator Assembly Shop,

has been working at Beko since 2013.

I became a foreman quite recently, this spring, but before, when got firstly employed, I started as a Mechanical Assembly Worker - an ordinary Refrigerator Assembly Line operator.

Now my duties include registration and write-off of rejected materials - components to be discarded . If a defected spare part suddenly comes from the warehouse, it is naturally impossible to handle it, as this can cause refrigerator malfunction; so it must be written-off and disposed.

My previous experience in this kind of work helps me a lot, because I'm familiar with a lot of procedures, details, I know the possible kinds of defects and how they may affect refrigerator performance. So switching to the new kind of activity was not difficult to me But there was still a lot to learn. For example, a paperwork process and use of Excel, since I have not come across this program earlier. The company organized online courses for us and it was real benefit.

Actually, I like my current occupation very much. I never thought that I would be interested in digging into the world of equipment spare parts, distinguishing which components can or cannot be put into operation, and how they should be rejected and written off.

Meanwhile, I have entered the correspondence department of the Yuryev-Polsky College of Finance and Economics, and graduated from it with the degree in Economics and Accounting. But I didn’t think to associate the profession I received with my life yet - of course, it was interesting to me some time before, but my current occupation resonates to me better and is more interesting in greater extent.
Our team is small and very friendly. The girls and I always support each other, offer a shoulder to lean on.
Our team is small but very friendly: three employees, a forklift driver who takes out rejected components, and our leader, computing machine operator Tatyana Viktorovna Astafieva. She provides us with tasks, distributes working activities and areas of responsibility between us, guides, shows a proper direction, and in general, acts as a mentor. The girls and I always support each other, offer a shoulder to lean on.

My character has such features like patience and calmness, helping me both at work and in everyday ife. Sometimes the scope of works is quite large and it is difficult to decide immediately how to begin performing in order to deal with it. You can face controversial writing off issues: where shall I write it off, how to draw it up? Therefore, in order to understand everything correctly and resolve the problem, patience and attentiveness are necessary.

Vitaly Sidelnikov

Washing machine assembly line technician,

has been working at Beko since 2017.

I know our plant since my student years - when I studied at the Alexandrovsk Industrial and Humanitarian College for mechanic assembly worker, I passed my internship here. I came here after army, first as a Setup Technician for Polystyrene Foam Production.

But I really wanted to become a Technical Specialist. And over time, our executives found such an opportunity, I was promoted and transferred to the assembly line of the washing machines shop. Technician's duties include line maintenance: equipment adjustment, elimination of technical grounds for line stoppages. In order to perform my duties, I had to learn a little: equipment in my new workshop was not familiar to me, and I had no proper idea about the conveyor line features.

My boss Ivan Bogdanov helped in mastering new skills, my shift Artem Evstyunichev was my main instructor and our engineers also suggested what and in which ways should be done. I studied directly at the workplace: engaged into the battle immediately just after assuing the post.

But my ambitions are not limited by this: in June I entered the Vladimir State University named after A. G. and N. G. Stoletov, where I will master the specialty “automation of technological processes”. I decided to get higher education, because I think that constant development is necessary, and it is important to move forward, without marking time.
I really like my job, I want and would like to follow this path further, to learn it better, in order to reach new frontiers.
I am not afraid of the difficulties related to combining work and distance learning: my age provides such an opportunity and I feel enough energy to go round.

For me, the most important thing is not career growth in a strict sense, but my own development, obtaining new knowledge and skills. I really like my job, I want and would like to follow this path further, to learn it better, in order to reach new frontiers. There is a slogan in our enterprise: "Surpass yourself." It can be considered as my personal motto as well.

My success can be described like this: I didn’t know before, but now I know, I can manage myself and teach others - and the more I learn, the more skills I master, the more confident I feel myself as professional. And I can learn everything - it is just enough to explain one time in detail - at least I have brain and hands to manage with mastering. The most important thing is the intention: if it is serious, a person will quickly understand and learn everything. You may fail to manage for the first time, but you must continue trying, do not quit in order to face the matter out.

Five years ago, when I started working at the plant I was unorganized, without particular desire to work, and generally had no clear understand what I really wanted.. Now I changed a lot hen before in many aspects: I got involved in the work, I felt my responsibility for it - I've got a motivation not to let the executive management down, to complete all tasks timely. Outside of work, I am just normal family man, father of two children: my daughter is six years old, and son will soon become one year old.

I think many have experienced such feelings after graduation - the profession is obtained, but there is no clear understanding of the further way. It's obvious to look for a place you will like, where everything will work out. I found such a place - I'm interested in my job at the plant and know how to use my resources here.

Anvar Gabitov

An assembler of plastic products of the washing machine workshop,

has been working at Beko since 2018

I reside in the Andreevskoe town, where a window manufacturing shop, i9n which I worked many years, is located. When its operation was stopped, I had to look for another income source, and learned that many residents of our town have been working at the Beko plant. I talked to the townsmen, and they offered to attend the plant together. I joined them after and obtained new work. Although I was worried that plant management would not accept me, cause I was already an adult, but everything turned out fine, and I also became an employee. And they probably didn't regret it.

In this production everything was new to me. And it was even difficult in first days. But I got involved in the process after a while and now I like to work at our enterprise.

The team and in particular, my master Olga Viktorovna Monakhova and Foreman Svetlana Fedorova helped me to settle in. Workers who were nearby also suggested ideas, what I should do.

I worked in different parts of my workshop: first on the assembly of valves, then with doors, with the top covers of washing machines, in welding (a mechanism that welds two halves of the top cover of the powder compartment). I can replace colleagues for five or six operations - if they suddenly need an assistance, they ask me and I always try to help.
I was recognized as the best worker - such professional assessment, as for me, is a success as it is. I never expected to get such a high appreciation, because I am almost retired and we have so many young people who work just as well. But the decision was made in my favor, and I am very glad, flattered and proud in this concern.
As people say, I am pretty handy. My profession is electrical technician, and residents of the town seek my assistance if something goes wrong with electricity. Everything that can be done at home, I try to do myself, and there's no end of work even in a two-room apartment. And moreover I have a small garden, and now it is time to harvest cabbage there. I have three little granddaughters: eleven years old, eight years old and three years old. I work hard for them, try to contribute in their raising.

I was recognized as the best worker - such professional assessment, as for me, is a success as it is. I never expected to get such a high appreciation, because I am almost a retired pensioner, and we have so many young people who work just as well. But the decision was made in my favor, and I am very glad, flattered and proud in this concern. I still under the impression, everyone says to me: “Hello, Best worker!”
