Getting a child ready for school is not an easy and it is very expensive task. This year, the cost of a school set for a first-grader (including clothes, shoes and a briefcase) in different regions of Russia ranged from 25 to 43 thousand rubles. And, of course, not all parents can afford such expenses, especially when it comes to large or low-income families. To help people in this complicated situation and turn September 1 into a real holiday for all first-graders, social centers, public and charitable organizations across the country are purchasing stationery, backpacks and other school supplies and donating them to their care recipients.
Before the start of the school year, the Kirzhach Integrated Center for Social Services provides targeted assistance to schoolchildren from large low-income families, children with disabilities, as well as children of SMO participants. For more than five years, the Beko company has been actively cooperating with the Center and helping to support people who find themselves in difficult life situations. At the request of the administration of the social service center, our company provides targeted assistance to people with disabilities, purchases gift sets to congratulate WWII veterans and the elderly, and, of course, pays special attention to helping families with children.
As part of the “Help me get ready for school” campaign, Beko purchases orthopedic backpacks and high-quality stationery sets (notebooks, diaries, sketchbooks, pens, pencils, rulers, etc.). Every year our company tries to increase the scope of assistance to children. Thus, if in 2021 we purchased 400 stationery sets, then this year, at the request of the center administration, we were able to give them more than 450 sets and 20 orthopedic backpacks for first-graders.
