Turkey Day in Vladimir
Now Turkey is preparing for its main celebration - the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic. On October 29, 2023, festive events will take place throughout the country. During the preparatory stage of the anniversary, meetings, conferences and exhibitions dedicated to Turkish culture and Russian-Turkish cooperation were organized in different cities of Russia. Representatives of the Beko plant made a speech at one of these meetings in Vladimir.
The event was attended by government officials, representatives of business, science, education, tourism and culture in Russia, as well as numerous guests. The Republic of Turkey was represented by Mehmet Ulker, Director of the Yunus Emre Institute in Moscow. Andrei Tokarev, Head of Production Processes, and Furkat Koshay, Product Specialist, took part in the discussion on behalf of the Beko plant. They were joined by other large taxpayers of the Vladimir region: the special economic zone "Dobrograd-1", the company "Vladimir Standard" and the Delavant group of companies.

– The Institute in Moscow named after the founder of Turkish poetry, Yunus Emre, is engaged in the development between cooperation of universities, as well as business and entrepreneurship development between Russia and Turkey. Dialogue between our countries and cultures will allow our peoples to get to know each other better.
Vyacheslav Kartukhin, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir Region, Director of the Vladimir Branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation, said that priority conditions for investors have been created in the Vladimir Region so that now we can talk about multimillion investments from Turkey in the regional economy.

– We have major enterprises operating in the Vladimir region and new jobs are being created. I am sure that there is a lot of common grounds between our countries here.
Our plant in Kirzhach is a strong example of cooperation and interaction between Turkish business and the Russian state. Since 2006, it has been steadily and powerfully developing and increasing its products, which are in demand not only in Russia, but throughout the entire post-Soviet space. Andrey Tokarev, Head of Production Processes the Beko plant, highlighed the success of our company and the dynamism of its business. The presentation at the meeting contained a lot of detailed information about production growth, new types of products, modernization of enterprises, and training of young specialists. The statements of our plant representatives were listened to with great interest and attention.

Russian Senator Olga Khokhlova shared her positive impressions of visiting the Parliament of the Turkish Republic - the Mejlis - as part of the Federation Council delegation chaired by Valentina Matvienko - and added that she sees great prospects for further cooperation.
– At the present stage, Russia and Turkey are actively investing in projects that are interesting for the development of both countries. The potential of bilateral relations is enormous: in the fields of education, culture, industry and production.

The special economic zone "Dobrograd-1", the company "Vladimir Standard" and the Delavant group of companies, which operate in our region, were also introduced to the Turkish partners during the event. The audience was pleased with the performances of folklore groups: the Cherry group and the children’s group “Smorodina”, a laureate of all-Russian and international competitions.
Guests at the conference were greeted by representatives of the organizers in national Turkish costumes.
Further to the meeting the parties agreed that the delegation of the Vladimir region would take part in the Days of Russian Culture in Turkey in October. Evgeny Fedorov, honorary citizen of the city of Kirzhach and the Kirzhach region, General Director of the Kirzhach printing house, embraced the offer of Mehmet Ulker to supply tulip bulbs and asked for a separate batch for his hometown. So, perhaps soon Turkish varieties of these flowers will appear in Kirzhach.
The hall was full of interested listeners and participants.
