Beko Plant is proud of the achieved result and sets new production goals

On September 28, 2021, approximately at 21:00, a very important event took place at Beko - the 10 millionth product was produced. "It doesn't matter for us whether it is a washing machine or a refrigerator, – says production manager Stanislav Miroshnikov, – we don't divide them, we count both together".

– Unfortunately, the event did not go on as brightly as we would like, – Stanislav complains. – at the factory we are very strict about compliance with the anti-COVID restrictions and therefore we do not gather people because of the risk to get contagious. But the information was showed on the large screen in the central lobby and during the operational meeting of the managers they thanked the employees. It was not possible to celebrate the event on a large scale but every employee of the plant knows about it because the entire team of the plant, all 1400 people are involved in the process of creating a product. These are workers of preparation workshops and employees of planning and quality departments, logistics - in general, the entire team of the plant. Everyone has invested his or her labour into production. That is why we have reached the target of 10 million product units. Our factory is a single living organism and if we lack one person or one department then, accordingly, we will not be able to produce our products.

New technologies for production of washing machines

The counting of products manufactured at Beko began in July 2006 when the first washing machine was produced.

– The difference between the washing machines of the early 2000s and the modern ones is huge, – says Stanislav Miroshnikov. – Thanks to the use of the new technology for production of the dynamic group (a tank with a drum) we have significantly changed the technical specifications of the finished product. If earlier we took a tank, a drum and fastened the tank lid from above with screws, now we use ultrasonic welding.

It was possible to load not a very large amount of clothes into the first washing machines. But now this important indicator has changed significantly. Due to the fact that manufacturers had improved the design of the dynamic group, it became possible to increase the load for narrow washing machines by 1.5 kilograms.

According to the head of production Stanislav Miroshnikov, modern washing machines are endowed with rich functionality. They have many useful options: preliminary soaking and steaming, enhanced rinsing and drying, light ironing and even delayed start. The baby protect+ function is indispensable for families with allergies: the optimal washing mode is achieved by maintaining the constant temperature regime and accelerated rotation of the drum. The washing machines now have an LCD display, which shows not only the current operating mode but also the time until the end of the washing process, the current temperature and other important indicators.

– Our washing machines have improved energy consumption, – Stanislav Miroshnikov continues. – If earlier we installed ordinary motors, now we have inverter ones and they allow regulating energy consumption. The model range includes A++ class machines, which allows reducing the consumption of electricity, water or washing powder.

Beko washing machines can now be operated not only in the manual mode but also with the use of an app on a smartphone. A certain program is loaded into the memory of a device, additional functions are set and individual washing parameters are set: the type of laundry, its colour and soil level. Based on this data, the app suggests the most suitable washing program or an alternative option. It is also possible to set the additional functions. And the “Smart Energy Consumption” option will start the washing during the application of a night electricity tariff.

Energy efficient refrigerators
The refrigerators that are produced at Beko have also changed.

– If we take the functional part then the energy consumption in refrigerators has changed, – Stanislav Miroshnikov continues to speak about factory products, – the first units had energy consumption A, now we are releasing classes A+ and A++. This guarantees a 20% reduction in resource consumption and savings of 50 to 80 kW per year for each improved energy efficiency class. In addition, an inverter compressor has appeared in refrigerators. This allows achieving the greatest energy efficiency and noise reduction.

Beko refrigerators have a state-of-the-art Eco-Fuzzy system that puts a unit into energy saving mode if the refrigerator doors are not opened for more than 6 hours.

The Everfresh zone has appeared in Beko refrigerators, which allows you keeping vegetables and fruit fresh for a long time: they do not go rotten for up to a month and remain in their original form. This happens due to the precise regulation of the humidity of the air entering through special channels, as well as due to the special design of the compartment.

Also modern refrigerators have the three-colour HarvestFresh lighting, which simulates the daylight cycle and prolongs the process of photosynthesis in fresh vegetables and fruit stored in the compartments intended for them, which allows not only preserving the freshness of products but also increasing their nutritional value.

– A display has appeared that can control the basic parameters of a refrigerator, – says Stanislav Miroshnikov. – The look of the product has improved. We produce refrigerators now not only in the traditional white colour but also in beige, marble-beige and even black, you can choose exclusive mirror colours - red and silver. The engineers have developed a stainless steel refrigerator cover that protects the surface from dust and dirt. And the interior accessories have become more beautiful and more ergonomic.

Production manager Stanislav Miroshnikov emphasizes that only clean and safe materials that are non-toxic for humans are used in the production of refrigerators. Elements with a gaseous cooling agent that does not destroy the ozone layer are installed, and all elements and materials are recyclable after use.

– Yes, we are proud of the achieved result, – Stanislav Miroshnikov says at the end of our conversation, – but we do not stop there. We have a huge number of plans. We are developing new models, introducing new high-tech systems but this is a topic for another conversation.
