EcoBEKO
Waste to income
Separate waste collection is not just a good habit to reduce the negative impact on the environment and save on the use of natural resources. Separate collection of production waste for Beko is an essential element of the corporate culture and environmental standards of the company.

Today we would like to remind once again about the rules for sorting domestic and industrial waste in the territory of the plant.

Waste is generated as a result of production processes and the implementation of various works. According to the legislation of the Russian Federation, waste is classified according to hazard classes (classes I – V). Our factory generates waste of all hazard classes and we divide them into the following groups: hazardous, non-hazardous and packaging waste. Hazardous waste includes used mercury lamps (hazard class I), batteries (hazard class II), mineral oils (hazard class III) and materials contaminated with chemical substances (hazard class IV). Non-hazardous waste includes plastic waste, polyurethane foam, manufacturing defects (hazard class V). Packaging waste is allocated separately. It includes cardboard, polyethylene film and wooden pallets (hazard class V).

The legislation of the Russian Federation requires observing the separate collection of waste of the same type. Therefore, waste in our plant is collected separately.
Waste collection zones are organized in the premises of the plant and each type of waste is collected separately and in a special container. Further, the waste is moved from the waste collection areas to the areas of temporary waste accumulation. When the sufficient amount of waste has been accumulated it is transferred to specialized companies for further processing.

Further, depending on the type and class of hazard, the waste is sent either to disposal (recycling) or to neutralization (reduction of the hazard class of waste), or to burial (if the waste cannot be recycled).

It is very important to sort and collect waste separately. It is necessary to maximally ensure the sorting and isolation of all recyclable waste (cardboard, paper, film) and limiting their accidental entry into mixtures that are sent for burial.
Therefore, we have installed green containers for collecting cardboard and paper waste, yellow containers for collecting polyethylene film and black containers for non-recyclable waste (MSW).
