WORKING SHIFT
"Beko" is awesome!
Year after year, Beko helps young people choose their careers. High school students take tours of the plant, and students from specialized colleges complete on-the-job training at the plant, learning from mentors. This approach helps future professionals make informed choices and build successful careers.

A tour of the profession

Formerly, career guidance tours over Beko plant were only available to students from specialized colleges and universities, but this year, the company was expanded to include schoolchildren in grades 9–11. It's important to the company that children considering their careers learn more about modern manufacturing and advanced technologies, and understand that mastering a trade job is within everyone's capabilities.

Several engaging routes around the plant were developed especially for the guests. Production managers and engineers served as guides.

The schoolchildren were particularly impressed by the robotic automation of the plant. They watched with interest as robots manipulated parts on various production lines, performing operations that facilitate the assembly of washing machines and refrigerators. And, of course, the students asked many questions and showed active interest in what they saw.
Evgeny Ukrashchenok
head of the group of electronics engineers:

– I've learned that for schoolchildren even the simplest processes, like operation of a conveyor section, can be a fascinating part of a field trip. Children interested in semi-automated work are fascinated by watching an operator control a conveyor belt. Those with a technical mindset - future mechanics and engineers - are interested in the mechanical design of the section operation, interaction of rollers, chains, and gearboxes. And those who ask how a given section responds to various sensors, and where the energy for an electric motor comes from, are likely to become electricians or electronics engineers in the future. All of this can be demonstrated visually to schoolchildren, allowing them to try things out for themselves. This fosters interest and enthusiasm in the children.
It is important!
Beko is just starting to offer tours for schoolchildren, and you have the opportunity to participate. If your child or the children of someone you know are in grades 9-11 and would like to take a tour of the Beko plant, see how modern household appliances are manufactured, and try his hand at being an operator or quality controller, please contact Yulia Ersal in the HR department.

It's all about practice

Students from specialized colleges who undertake industrial internships develop professional skills from their first days at the plant, which will enable them to work in virtually any modern enterprise.
At the beginning of the internship, each student's theoretical knowledge and interest are assessed. The internship program is tailored based on this: first, a briefing, then practical problem-solving under the supervision of plant employees. The most active and prepared interns are assigned to teams and independently participate in real production processes.

– We strive to bring interns to the professional level at which the company would be willing to hire them as employees, – said Evgeny Ukraschenok. "We provide them with basic knowledge of all the main processes and components and set tasks for applying their acquired knowledge in practice. Every student is guaranteed to master the art of using a screwdriver and make simple automation. We create the conditions for their professional development, and then everything is up to them. If they are ready to work, the internship will be a valuable first step into the profession.
Yulia Ersal, HR Specialist at Beko

– The first introduction to the profession isn't always ideal; sometimes it's difficult for students to immediately take the job seriously. But over time, immersion in real production processes pays off, and future young professionals begin to love and appreciate their profession.

The best in the nomination

Beko also works with young people outside the plant. Our HR experts regularly participate in job fairs and career days, meet with students directly at colleges, and share the benefits Beko offers its employees. The company holds an annual scholarship competitions and supports student participation in other similar events.

This year, Beko sponsored the team from the Kirzhach College of Technology and Service at the 13th "Jack of All Trades" SPO Gathering, held in the Rostov Region. As a result, the Kirzhach team performed admirably, winning first place in the "85 Years of the SPO System" nomination and third place in the "Unpacking the Profession" nomination.

Every year, dozens of students from various colleges visit the Beko plant and office. For each of them, the company strives to find the optimal professional immersion option. The main focus is, of course, manufacturing: blue-collar jobs are in high demand today. But the Beko office is also looking for interns – quality and IT experts, future lawyers, and purchasing experts.
