ECOBEKO
Clean energy for sustainable future
In 2024, Beko LLC reached a significant milestone on its way
to sustainability: half of all electricity used now comes from renewable sources, as confirmed by Green e-Track certificates.
What is a green energy certificate?
The Green e-Track certificates confirm that a certain amount of electricity consumed by a company was generated without the use of fossil fuels – only by hydro, wind or solar power. In use in over 150 countries, this certification allows manufacturers to demonstrate their commitment to preserve the environment.

Abu Naim Shimul:
"The renewable energy sources to waists reduction and water saving – are visible and appreciated all around the globe"
Abu Naim Shimul, Beko & IHP Environmental Engineer:
The transition to green energy is an important step both for our plant and for Beko as a whole. This is the official confirmation that some of the electricity we consume is generated by renewable sources and does not cause significant harm to the environment during the production process.

The certification allows us to convincingly demonstrate our environmental responsibility to our customers, partners and society at large. For the clients, this certification means that Beko manufactures the products with reduced CO emissions, meaning that its household appliances are manufactured as per the highest environmental standards. And for investors, it demonstrates our progress in achieving ESG goals.
Green energy certificates are valid as a passport. They document not only the energy source, but also the generation type: wind, solar or hydroenergy. Each certificate corresponds to a certain amount of renewable energy and is registered in a special registry. Using this system, we can track and verify the green share of our consumption.
The long-term goal is transition to 100% clean energy by 2030
For us, it is also a tool for continuous improvement. The transition to renewable energy sources helps us set clearer sustainability goals and measure our progress towards them. It's one thing to declare your commitment to sustainability, but it's quite another one to take the important step of backing it up with verifiable data.
This certification is in line with our global environmental strategy, which aims to increase the share of renewable energy sources in our operations annually. It sends a signal to the market: large-scale production can and should drive growth in clean energy consumption. Besides the technical side, there is an element of inspiration here.

The certification systems like Green e-Track encourage the companies to take a fresh look at their energy consumption, start asking questions on where it comes from, and take responsibility for their environmental impact. When you start tracking and documenting the energy sources, it naturally leads to disputes about efficiency, energy saving, and innovations.

The transition to green energy is an important milestone. In 2025, TIME magazine again included Beko in its list of the world's 500 most sustainable companies, at that our position stepped up from 44th to 17th over the year. Recognition by such a prestigious publication confirms that our efforts – from implementation of renewable energy sources to waste reduction and water saving – are visible and appreciated all around the world. This motivates us to move forward, seek new solutions, and prove that environmental responsibility and business success can go hand in hand.
Glimpse into the future
Beko company is already exploring opportunities to increase the share of renewable energy sources in its energy mix. The long-term goal is to transition to 100% clean energy by 2030, reduce production-related CO emissions to near zero, and further set industry standards for sustainability.
Development plans:
  • transition to use of only environmentally friendly energy in the near future;
  • continuing to improve production efficiency to reduce overall energy demand;
  • strengthening collaboration with suppliers to ensure sustainability throughout the value chain.
Green e-Track is an international company that certifies the use of renewable energy sources in production processes.
ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) is a sustainable business development concept that evaluates companies based on their impact on the environment and society.
