The operation of any mechanism, be it a conveyor or a press, directly depends on the reliability of the process tooling used. However, as a result of intensive use, the parts wear out and require repair or replacement. The experts of the process tooling repair section take care of this. It is them who guarantee prompt and high-quality restoration of parts of any complexity and in any condition.
Own niche for everyone
Mikhail Rybakov
EDM operator:
– I joined the plant in 2011 and managed to master several machine tool majors. At first I was a turner, then I studied grinding machines, and five years ago I mastered EDM.
Our tool shop has four types of electrical discharge machines designed for different types of processing. This way we can obtain parts of various complex shapes.
Every day we work on scheduled repairs that need to be completed by a certain deadline. But sometimes you come in and—crash! - some necessary stamp or mold has broken. And we all instantly switch from scheduled repairs to emergency ones.
In addition, we are constantly working on the processes efficiency. If you have any ideas on how to simplify a particular stage, management will always consider the proposal and, if necessary, suggest the ways to improve it. We always work together, and it does not matter who holds what position – everyone has a voice.
We all are the experts in our own niches, and together we form a team that keeps production running and helps the plant to develop.
We always work together as a team.

Effciency is the main quality
Anton Bogometov,
expert:

– I came to the workshop, as well as to the plant, in 2019. At first I was EDM-operator, and in 2021 I became an expert. Although it seems like not much time has passed since my first day, during this period the workshop has managed to change, be updated, and expand its equipment fleet. It's very interesting to work.
Our section handles a vast array of tasks: monitoring scheduled maintenance and upgrades, implementing urgent repairs, modeling and designing the replacement parts, reporting, and much more. That is why one of the main qualities that all the section employees possess is efficiency. We try to respond to any challenge as fast as possible.
We always start with analysis of the damage and determining the scope of work. We define the degree of wear and create a drawing for a new workpiece, which then undergoes several processing stages: milling, heat treatment, grinding, and electrical discharge machining or turning. For example, press molds and dies in a machining shop, which are under constant dynamic load, wear out quite quickly. And to ensure that production doesn't stop, prompt replacement of tooling is required. And so it is every day.
We don't have routine work; there's more creativity and invention here, because each task needs to be approached individually. Colleagues, each at their own stage of production, can offer their own solutions to problems on how to improve the manufacturing process, and management always pays close attention to such ideas. And it seems to me that this is one of the reasons for the well-coordinated work of the workshop, which you want to return to every day.
We don't have routine work.

Masters of their craft
Maxim Bazhin
CNC milling machine operator:

– In our workshop, everyone can improve their skills, grow and develop – we have all the opportunities for this. For example, I came to work on the milling machine in 2021, but I really wanted to master the CNC tool. And just six months later I started working with this equipment. And here I feel like I belong.
The synonym of our work is diversity. Yes, from time to time the stamps and dies wear out, and we repeat the same parts. But we strive to avoid typical breakdowns; wherever possible, we implement modifications and improvements.
Often you have to solve difficult problems. But that makes the process all the more interesting. And sometimes they are so urgent that I work also on weekends. But if production requires it, I always take on the task with joy. And management always rewards employees who are passionate about production.
And this attitude towards their work is shared by everyone in our workshop. Our team is small and friendly, and everyone in it is a master of their craft.
The synonym of our work is diversity.
