I travel
Dubai. Eastern fairy tale of the 21st century
Dubai is the largest city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is considered a symbol of oriental luxury and the fabulous wealth of oil sheikhs all over the world. This is a city of the tallest skyscrapers, man-made islands, ultra-modern infrastructure and green gardens between hot desert sands. Many avid travelers dream of visiting this place. Polina Zherdeva, a supply department specialist and the best employee of 2023, told about her acquaintance with the city of dreams.

Supply Department Specialist:

Making a dream come true

Dubai has been my little dream for the last year. I had a great desire to see for myself how, in a few decades, the desert turned into a super-modern city of the future, where former Bedouins after camels drive Lamborghini, and how skyscrapers of 70 floors and even higher rose on the sandy ruins. Just imagine it! Today the highest building in Dubai is Burj Khalifa, its height 828 m, it includes 163 floors, and you can see the entire city from its observation deck. So, of course, I wanted to get acquainted with this beautiful and rapidly developing city closer.

4 days in Dubai

All my travels were quite spontaneous, I think that makes them more interesting. This time I celebrated the first summer day in Dubai. The trip was short, only four days, but the boost of energy I received was truly colossal. We went on a trip together with friends, our group included 10 people.

During this time, we managed to visit such places as the Museum of the Future, an architectural wonder housing innovative technologies that represent our future. We were greeted by robot girls and cute robotic dogs. Here you can see a bicycle without spokes, flying suits, cars without driver and much more. In the evening we made a tour around the glittering lights of Dubai in a convertible car, and admired the show of swıinging fountains from the Burj Khalifa tower – it was an incredibly beautiful show! We walked around Madinat Jumeirah – the of Dubai Venice, enjoyed swimming near the Parus Hotel, which was built on a man-made island and is the famous visit card of Dubai.

Unfortunately, due to the very high air temperature (more than +41 °C) we had to revise our travel plan, so we did not find time to visit several interesting places. I think this is a good reason to return to Dubai more than once!

More exciting travels!

For me, traveling is an important part of life. I have managed to visit a variety of places and countries. I visited Africa, where local tribes still retain their customs and traditional way of life, spend one of my vacations in the Maldives, we swam with manta rays, sharks, turtles, tried to catch glowing plankton in evening, looked at the stars, and it seemed that time slowed down to make you forget about pace of life. I was in Sri Lanka, with its amazing nature, in the land of smiles – Thailand.
In Dubai, luxury is literally everywhere
This year also was no exception, I managed to visit four countries, three of which for the first time. I can talk about traveling endlessly: I am sincerely amazed by our world, and would like to see its beauty in all its diversity. I have many plans for the future, and I will be glad if my travel stories help someone to organize their vacation in the best possible way.

I want to wish everyone bright journeys that give unforgettable emotions, power and motivation to achieve new goals!
