Сompany management representatives visit Russia regularly, at least once a year. This two-day visit, October 23 and 24, focused primarily on production and commercial matters: an assessment of “Beko” operations in Russia andas a discussion of plans for coming 2026.

During preparations for the visit, it was assumed that the Turkish delegation would be led by Beko’s Chief Technical Officer, Mr. Nihat Baiz, but his plans changed at the last minute. So, the Director of Technology, Mr. Atilla Uz, the the results achieved in 2025, as well Director of the “Washing Machines” product, Mr. Abdurrahman Shahin, and the Director of the “Refrigerators” product, Mr. Yuksel Atilla, came to the plant.

Key working meeting

The main working event took place in the morning of October 23 in the Hakan Kozan Conference Hall. In addition to the guests from the headquarters, Regional General Manager Mr. Onur Dostel, Technical Director Mr. Gökhan Özgürel and the heads of Beko and IHP departments were present. Mr. Nihat Bayiz joined the meeting from Beko’s headquarters in Turkey via online video conference.

Technical Director Gökhan Özgürel began the presentation on the plant’s main areas of activity and development. Using key performance indicators, he outlined Beko and IHP’s successes in Russia, their operations, and their plans for 2026. The purchasing director then presented projects aimed at reducing production costs, while the R&D director at the Kirzhach plant discussed new developments, new models, and design and construction improvements. A change to the product line is planned for next year, and these new products were presented to all meeting participants. Beko and IHP plant teams shared current initiatives and futureoriented projects.

Guests from the holding company appreciated both arrangement of the presentation and the goals “Beko” team has set for itself in Russia, as well as the methods and means it intends to use to achieve same. Mr. Nihat Baiz also expressed high praise for the meeting results.

Factory tour and warm welcome

Then the guests from Turkey and representatives of the Russian teams went on a tour of “Beko” plant. Two of the directors who came to visit this time had previously managed the Kirzhach plant and were able to see firsthand the extensive changes that had taken place there. The appearance, the process level, the ergonomics of the workstations, the overall condition of the plant – everything was top-notch; they were very pleased with everything. The former plant directors also had the opportunity to meet with colleagues – both management and workers with whom they had worked in Russia – so the visit ended in a friendly atmosphere, with shared memories and impressions.

In the evening, the guests departed for Moscow to hold morning meetings at the capital’s office and make their traditional visit to home appliance stores, where they could personally evaluate Beko products and see how they compare to their competitors. The plant’s team now faces new challenges. In the coming year, large-scale improvements will need to be made to fulfill the promises made to the holding company management!
