Today – a student, tomorrow – our specialist: this is the principle on which Beko builds cooperation with professional colleges and universities, invites students for internships, develops a system of mentoring and transfer of experience to the younger generation. The company took 5th place in the category at the All-Russian contest of the best youth employment practices: great result, because the best of the best from all over Russia, including the giants of national business, competed with the best of the best. What is the secret of such success?
There are no secrets, but there is a lot of work being done. “Beko works not only with its nearest neighbor, the Kirzhach College of Technology and Service (former Machine-Building College), students from four colleges and four universities come to us for internships. Among them are children of our employees: the plant has already formed its own labor dynasties. Alexandra Salibieva came from Vladimir State University for internship: she is majoring in “ Economic Security” and upon her mother's advice, an accountant at Beko, she decided to do her internship in the Treasury Department. Here she also met with graduates of her alma mater who had already graduated from the university, joined the plant and were happy with their choice.
Beko pays great attention not only to education, but also to attracting those who are still in the process of making their choice. Every year we organize free-entry days, which are attended by students, schoolchildren and their teachers. Everyone who wants to learn more about our production and literally touch it with their own hands. Shop managers and leading engineers of the plant conduct guided tours during which one can fully immerse oneself in the world of work professions: try to operate a machine or start the casting process, assess the quality of finished products or send them to the warehouse.
In addition, this year Kirzhach hosted a competition for employers of production companies “PRO – Find Your Way in the Profession”. It was timed to coincide with the annual Vladimir Region Graduates' Day and was designed to support the promotion of working professions among school and college students.
Our plant was well represented at the competition by Dmitry Kruglov who took the 2nd place. He is only 25 years old, and only recently, in February 2025, he became an engineer. And his career began when he came to Beko to get professional internship. Then he participated in the Smart League competition and won our personalized scholarship. After serving in the army Dmitry returned to the plant, first he took the position of a technician, and now he is already training new personnel himself: he combines his work with teaching at the college and at the same time finishes his correspondence studies at the university. His apprentices are already working at the plant, while some are making only the very first step to join the Beko team of professionals, some of them come to the plant for practical training.
